Here I am in front of Paul Bunyan and Blue Babe in a little city called Bemidji on our way to Turtle River N. Dakota. on the last leg of our  Minnesota Journey.

We stayed last night near Ely at Bear Head Lake close to Canada border and kayaked and saw a beaver swim across the lake, two osprey and another loon couple who make me laugh.  It sounds like they are calling "where are you to each other."
From Virginia Minn. to Grand Rapids is a bike trail called the Mesabi which Minn. has established along old railroad lines.  Neat!
Today we saw 4 bald eagles near the Leech River Chipewa National Forest. Turtle River is a fancy campground, paved roads, electricity and hot water. We only got a short bike ride in.  But we will go to Teddie Roosevelt Grasslands and camping will be a little more primitive.

Since the last part of the trip was pretty good roads and flat, I drove a whole hour today and Pat hasn't turned any greyer.

You will note Pat is slimming down.  I am working hard, but that old thyroid isn't helping.
