700 + miles and of Carol and the Great White Heron

We have traveled to PoKagon State Park (CCC built most) in Indiana camping with a view of Lake James, with our own private dock for the kayak, but the weather is not cooperating so we took a hike saw a red fox.  After lunch we rode the bike down the trail to the INN and Saddle Barn where they have Salt and Pepper (Ben and Toby will get the reference.) The bike ride was a rush because it paralleled the world Toboggan ride that people come from all around to run.
Our first stop was at Simon B. Eliot State Park in the Wildlands of Pennsylvania, a rustic campground with beautiful ferns and mayapple, elk (which we did not see nor the bobcat, but we were only there to rest one night and take off again. We actually slept like there was no tomorrow.) The night before we left we were up at 3am, early evening we were busy packing last minute and watching an old vintage Gary Grant movie starring with Sophia Loren called Houseboat which Pat said was Carol's favorite movie (Carol was our very good friend of 30 years who died a couple of year's ago at the age 94.  She was the best neighbor and baby sitter you could find.) Now if you have ever seen Houseboat you will not think it is Oscar quality or even a good movie, but then this scene comes where Gary Grant is talking to his son about the philosophy of life and then you immediately understand why Carol liked it because it was her philosophy (and much mine.) So check it out on You tube, just this part, it is only 3 minutes.  Google You Tube Movie Houseboat best lines about philosophy of life https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VMs_NGPKlXw     Now this is the really strange thing, right after we saw this part , this Great White Heron flew on to the porch roof.  I just knew it was Carol visiting, sending us good thoughts for our wayfarin journey (of course, the heron may have been checking out the gold fish in the pond as well.)  I will write again when we stop for more than a day.  Please read the first blogg because along with not figuring out still how to arrange photos, I still don't know how to change sequence.
